Became a member when I was in my teens...1976...IIRC,
Have been a life member since the 80's and now an Endowment member... I would suggest an upgrade...to whomever can afford it... WE are now in a fight for the ages.!!!!!!

i signed up for the $300 life membership last week through a sponsor. i still haven't gotten any real confirmation that it went through. when i check my status, it still shows me as a regular member. if i had known about the number, i would have called them myself.
i guess it will take a few weeks to show the change? idk.
edit: oh, never mind. i just checked the NRA website again and it shows me as a life member.

I sponsored my wife's life membership last week. At that time, they told me her card would be in the mail in 3 to 4 weeks.
Considering all the new/renewed/upgraded memberships they've processed in the last few weeks I thought that was pretty reasonable.

thanks JLK for the info about when the card would be sent. That is about the same as the last time... Although it took a few months and a couple e-mails to them to finally get my hat.

They've been swamped lately. They also recently offered a $25 gift card, and that is months away from being sent out along with membership packets as well.
My membership was due for renewal. I called the number on Monday. 3 minutes and 10 seconds later I was a lifetime member.
I believe it was supposed to be a one-day deal. They got such an overwhelming response, they've extended it to the 28th

I just called the number given and gave them my information. First, I checked a variety of discussion boards and went to the Gun Talk Radio website to confirm that this $300 membership is legitimate, and I am satisfied that it is. I have never considered myself to be very "political", but I enjoy firearms of all types and I don't want to wake up one morning in the very near future with the only legal firearm being a BB gun, so I am giving my support and money to the NRA to protect my constitutional rights.
