Ok so y oldest is thinking of joining the NRA, we keep seeing adds for different free items with membership. Is there anywhere to see a list of all the options?

I know I've seen a knife and a bag on the adds. Can you still get the hat?

checked the page, it didn't show as much as the random pop up adds did....

Many gun shows have a booth at the front door where you can join at a discount get free admission to the show and a hat. A good deal no matter how you look at it.

They have a store online I believe,but they are always having sign up gifts for joining and at least your money supports a good organization.

Other than the gun show admission fee, which also included a free hat many years ago when I did it at a Tucson gun show many years ago, and the pen offer described in this thread http://smith-wessonforum.com/lounge/446059-join-nra-save-money-get-free-pen.html I do not believe the NRA has been offering souvenirs when you fist join. I could be wrong since because of lack of attention, sorry.

It seems like the "gimme" items are usually offered when you renew, especially when you are slow to respond or it you upgrade to one of the premium memberships in terms of duration.

Last time I renewed, I asked them not to send anything, but a hat arrived in the mail a couple of months later anyway. Go figure.

Pocket knives have also arrived unexpectedly after a renewal in years past.

I re-join each year toward the end of the year because I want to support their political activity and our local shooting club, which is an NRA affiliate. If we were not so poor, I would probably spring for a life membership.

Can't say much for the "stuff" you get. My experience has not been great. Not joining for the stuff anyway.

Don't know if the Boss gets points for each signup using this link or not, but it is a few dollars off.
