Below is the propose rule change for conducting Regional and Sectional NRA matches. The rule basically will eliminate any Regional with less then 12 competitors (8 for the Sectionals).

What this means is, if you applied for a Regional one year, and you had less then 12 competitors, you would not be allowed to have a regional the next year.

Its my believe that these rule discriminate against smaller communities where we are lucky to have 12 shooters.

Please write or call the NRA and voice your opposition to these rule changes, giving us, who live in low population areas the same abilities to fire in Regionals as larger population centers.

Forward this to your respective state assigns.

Thanks.

I hope this rule change gets overturned. I recently submitted my application for a Regional (PPC) and I wonder how they can expect the match host to document the number of shooters some 90 days before the match. We typically don't have an accurate count until the last shot is fired.

The rule doesn't specify which shooting discipline it refers to though, unless this is going to be an across the board rule for regionals in all disciplines.
