Number 2 army

I have a #2 army with a 6 inch barrel in nickel. Ser # 37424. I believe the manufacturing date is 1867 however was wondering if anyone here could confirm... thank you for any help recieved.

Cannot tell you when your revolver was manufactured since S&W tracks guns by ship date. I can state that 37,2XX shipped from the factory in mid-1865. It is generally considered that any Model 2 with serial number below 35,000 were Civil War era. Many were purchased by soldiers for use in that war.
