Unfortunately, they are CLOSED on the weekend.

So I ordered 3 magazines:

P/N 929810 $30.15 each

Description: These are genuine S&W manufacture magazines. Some may be marked "Law Enforcement & Export Only" because they were manufactured during the time the assault weapons ban was in effect, however that restriction was lifted when the assault weapons ban expired in 2004, making these magazines legal for domestic civilian use. Magazines are new unless otherwise specified. Please check your state and local laws regarding high capacity magazines.

What I received was 3 Smith original magazines. 1 appears to be NEW, the other two appear as if they have been used.....A LOT. All 3 are marked l.e. and whatnot, which I did not care about, I just wanted 3 15 round magazines.

The problem:

Numrich lists P/N 1377830 $28.70 each

Description: Magazine, 9mm, 15 Round, Stainless (w/ Flat Plastic Floorplate) - - Export/Law Enforcement Marked

SOLD OUT

and,

P/N 98510 $28.70 each

Description: Magazine, 9mm, 15 Round, Used, Stainless

SOLD OUT

Now, what exactly did I pay for? Kind of irritating that I thought I was buying 3 NEW mags for the 30 bucks a piece and NOT the 28.70 for the apparent used mags listed, but were not available because they were sold out.

Next problem is that I ordered two recoil springs, one of which has some rust.

I can't wait to see what the firing pins I ordered look like.

I don't know if I should bother complaining, we are talking 1.45 cents x3 and I did buy using the 20% discount code offered last week. On the other hand, this sure looks like a "bait and switch" to me.

The couple of times I've had problems (wrong item) with Numrich orders they've been very good on returns. Overall, they are a very reputable company and if you are unhappy you should call them.

I've also had 50/50 dealings with them... I'd rather put an ad in the wanted to buy section unless I needed the part yesterday.

I have a 100% failure rate with Numrich. I have never received the correct part ordered.

I'll call them on Monday and see what they tell me about the recoil springs.

The mags aren't that big of a deal as they are for the most part in good shape AND, being the dumbass I can be sometimes, the description does have "(Used, Very Good to Excellent. Follower Shows Some Residue)", but I missed that.

Numrich is top notch, I have never had a problem with them that customer service did not address properly and enthusiastically! I would give them a call on Monday, they will make things right and probably throw you some kind of apologetic deal or such. They're a bit slow on shipping though, but that's my only gripe.

I'll tell you, shipping isn't an issue. The first package with the mags and the springs shipped 1st class on the 11th and I received them today. The second was sent yesterday and I'll bet it will be here Monday afternoon.

The spring that has the rust could probably be scrubbed or just tossed.

I'll probably let this slide.

My small Numrich order using the 20% discount was perfect...even got one of the Schematic drawings of the third gen with parts listings. It was e-mailed promply after the order processed.

I've stopped using them unless it's an act of despiration because no else has what I want in stock. I ordered straight back grips for my 4506.. I got 1076 frame decocker grips. Ordered 2 4506 recoil spring guide rods, got 2 4006 4" guide rods.

A stock for a Stevens 311 shotgun was not even close to being the right one.

Sure, customer service was accomodating whenever I called them, but I got tired paying the cost of sending stuff back when they we're the ones that sent me the wrong stuff. And yes, I asked to be credited for the return shipping costs, and they wouldn't play.

Now to be fair... I've been a customer of them since the 70's, and it seems like wasn't until a few years ago that they really started going downhill... too bad because it used to be that I'd never think twice about ordering things from them.

I'm probably not going to order from them for anything at any other time other than when something might be worth the hassle.

My first order with them was when they had certain m1a stocks for 50% off. The stock I got from them was a really nice GI with metal and appeared as if it were pulled off the rifle as soon as it was put on the rifle.

Let them know the problem and give them a chance to make it right. I'm a HUGE FAN of CDNN.

Midway had NIW S&W 59 mags on sale for around that a while back. I know becasue I ordered a couple but then "on sale a while back" does not help a fellow today. I too have had good luck buying magazines from CDNN. Flat rate shipping too (Midway has gotten a little high on shipping for me lately on some things). For used mags, every Pawn Shop grab bin I have looked in had a t least one S&W 59 mag.;)

Numrich problems

I've given up on Numrich. No more!

I just received my most recent parts order from Numrich. Not only were the parts used (which I was not told when I ordered the parts), but they were not in acceptable condition for my re-use. In fact, the grips they sent me (for 3rd gen small frame S&W automatics - grips that are still available new from other vendors) were the old, original, recalled version of the grips.

In contrast, when I ordered some replacement parts from Midway they arrived in NEW condition, for LESS money than Numrich charged me. And when I complained to Midway about a defective part (manufacturer's defect), the sent me a new one at no cost, and did not require that I pay to ship the defective part back.

I see no reason to order from Numrich unless no one else on the planet has the parts. They are now my LAST resort for S&W parts.

BTW - has anyone used Jack First in South Dakota for parts?

I only know that Numrich had a replacement hammer for a 1963 Herbert Schmidt .22 revolver. They also gave me $20 for a ziplock bag of RG14 parts. The pivot on the potmetal hammer sheared off and it wasn't worth replacing. A stripped RG14 frame makes a great paper weight.
For hard to find parts they're great, not so much for new stuff.

I've used Jack First a number of times.

I got parts for Colts from them. Many of these parts, like extractor for my Colt Mustang were made by their machine shop and were top quality. Shipping was fast.

You can't order off a web page, you have to call. It's faster if you have a mfg part # but they can figure it out and are very helpful.

They do have a catalog set available but I never wanted to spend the money for my minimal needs.

I wanted a spurred hammer to convert my 3913 to that. I called and they told me they had brand new S&W stainless, and that is what I got. I was happy because S&W did not carry them any more.
