I spend a lot of time fishing and riding ATVs. I'm thinking about getting some type of nylon/kydex shoulder holster or chest holster to carry my Model 66 with me when I do those outdoor activities.
I'm not looking for a $150 holster nor a $20 nylon rig. It's not necessarily for concealed carry so a chest holster with a strap across the front isn't ruled out. I just prefer nylon and kydex so I won't have to worry about ruining the leather by getting it wet to often.
Besides the Uncle Mike holsters, does anyone have a suggestion?
Thanks!

I bought a holster from Survival Sheath Systems last year for a Glock. It is kydex and is positioned on the chest. I got it for wearing under sweatshirts. I really like it. He has all sorts of different types of holsters. He was up here in WA on and island but moved to Oregon. Nice guy, talked to him several times, he was having issues because they lost power to the island because of storms in winter 08/09. It is a one man shop but good work. I would post the link but don't know how that works. Just google search it.

I know that you just said you're not really interested in concealed carry but you might pose this question on the Concealed Carry subForum elsewhere on these pages.

Those guys are very helpful and may be able to make some suggestions you haven't looked at yet.

Thanks, but I think my friends above have solved my dilemna. The chest holster on the website linked looks to be the perfect set up for me!
