Oak. cop murders will put assault ban back on track

If you truly understand the leanings of the left, you can be sure that they don't look at the officer's murders the same way that most of us do.
It is an oppurtunity for them, nothing more.
After all, these are the same people who are concerned more about the lives and care of imprisoned Terrorists than about the killing of an unborn child.
 
While they will of course say how saddened they are by the tragedy, the usual suspects will remind us that they warned us it would happen. The rest of us of course know it will happen again and "sensible, reasonable gun laws patterned after Chicago's" will not change that.
Until the new changed man liberals have been promising is universal, the same old flawed humans will continue to do bad things.
This battle has been fought for many years. The progressives and liberals won't give up; it's our job to make sure they don't win.

Read the news accounts. There were 20 plus bystanders taunting police at the scene of the car stop. I'd say that's a close enough definition of "jumping for joy".

I've got ten years on the streets of Oakland with OPD and the city is filled with animals, probably democrats, who indeed are jumping with joy of this tragedy. I've seen it before.

RIP brothers.
 
I wonder if police knocked and announced before entering the apartment where two of them were killed?

I was near the scene where three cops were executed in a motel room by some animals over a bad check warrant. (They knocked and announced....) They called a local "community organizer/clergyman" who made sure he came to the scene to negotiate their surrender because they were afraid the police would execute them when they came out. They got all the benefit of calling the shots and "negotiating" while the three cops inside had been dead for hours.

There ARE communities in this country where the animals are looked to with more respect than the police. It's not because the police are so bad, it's because the community dictates its own standards. Those standards have nothing to do with education, responsibility for one's own reproductive organs, one's own responsibility for being a productive member of the community or just about any other value or more typical of any civilized society. Water seeks its own level and they cluster together. These communities don't get this way BECAUSE of the police, they get this way IN SPITE of the best efforts of the police because they've been enabled for generations.
 
Be safe, hoglaw, and we're sorry about your brothers who were killed by this parole with whatever kind of weapon he used.

Maybe the true breakdown here is the fact that we parole folks like this back into society to steal, kill and cause heartache all over again, and again . . . until they are finally both caught AND CONVICTED of something else. Soon, they are again on the street.

It must suck to arrest the same people, time and again . . . all the while putting your life in jeopardy in the midst of a decaying cesspool of humanity.

Guns don't kill people in the hands of the thugs . . . the THUGS do. When will we stop letting these folks out to do this stuff again?

My hats off to you brother, I've done my time and will retire in May. I hope you have a safe and enjoyable career.
I've often egaged my arrests and interviews in conversations which would will often get around to their political views. Kind of a non scientific poll.
For 31 years I found that most of people I arrested were parioting the cliques of the left.
Most of the hard core criminals will talk to you once they feel at ease around you and almost all had left leanings.
Some of your DUIs and white collar criminals were republicans but over 95% were to the left.

Yeah, keep your eyes on the Democratic Party if you own an "assault weapon". It was right-wing Republican Governor John Rowland who signed off on the most recent (before he went to prison)CT. State AWB, in 2003, modifying the landmark CT. State AWB signed off on by lifetime Republican Governor Lowell Weicker, in Connecticut, following Republican President George Bush Sr.'s national AWB after the school yard shooting in California. As a law-abiding AW owner in the State of CT., I had to surrender prints and register my AK-Types with the CT. State DPS (State Police) or face contraband charges subject to confiscation if not registered. Keep your eyes on all parties when it comes the the 2nd Amd.
 
It's threads like this that are currently exploiting this real misfortune....Not democrats. Have a couple more drinks and keep yourselves hysterical. Be ever more fearful: hide behind your small safeties seeking comfort on the internet.

Are you talking about the same democrats that think abortion, and even partial birth abortion is a great thing?
If you want to talk about sick--just look at your democrat party.
I don't doubt in the least that there are some democraps and Brady backers that are happy to be able to use this to push thier agenda.

Crack head gang member animals routinely encountered by LEOs don't vote. They are not Democrats. Neither am I. Neither were the 20 who were bantering the police-20 is hardly a city full you know. The truth is, you really don't know anything at all about those 20, do you? Neither do I, but I'd be willing to bet you money that no more than 1 or 2 of those who were taunting have ever voted in an election, just as I'll bet that the perp was a long term gang member. Hard core gang members are sort of like our own domestic version of the Taliban, or suicide bombers. When they go out, its usually not going to be good. To them there is no greater glory in life than cop killing.
I was raised by liberals in a house full of other kids who turned out to be liberals (except 1 sister who is a lot like me) and I know a lot of liberals because of my family. The statement is low class, quite offensive, and on a level this forum ought not be taken down to by any member. Its also flat out untrue, as anyone with half a functioning brain would know.

Gotta crawl back in this trough one more time...

There are ways to add longevity to the shooting sports and there are ways to ensure shooters get the short stick. Is there any doubt that comments like quoted above and this whole thread alienate people that are pro gun and vote? Shouldn't gun people be about guns and not like chickens pecking on the one that thinks different?

If your thinking is toward taking away gun rights ,like the democrat party way of thinking.

My original statement about "liberal democrat politicians" was too broad a brush. Senator Lieberman is an exception. My biggest peave with the Dem politicians isn't about guns. It's their treasonous actions during a time of war. I already mentioned that a couple of times. The New York Times published every little secret that was leaked to them. They walk hand in hand with the Democrat party. Some people are offended about what I said about these politicians. When I have these verbal political sparring matches with my liberal or Democrat friends, they don't take for granted I'm talking about them. I personally think Democratic politicians aided and abetted the enemy during a time of war. They lie, distort, and exploit bad news. They do it with the gun issue all the time. And you can come up with dozens of examples of Republicans doing it, too. On other issues. If you disagree with this, fine. But my way of expressing myself here pales compared to the actions of the politicians I'm complaining about. I'm not out to alienate people. But I don't think politics is off limits here. And these conversations can get very heated, even between freinds. My sarcastic way of putting things doesn't make that any easier, I guess.

I think you and I probably have a lot we would disagree on but if we were face to face (and kept a little humor going) we would shake hands.

I just think that America has some big problems on several fronts and only if people focus and pull together can they be fixed. My guess is some really big calamity will happen and band people together. My hope is that the erosion isn't too deep before then.

God willing and the empire doesn't fall.....
