OD Green 15-22 rifle

I'm picking up a used OD green 15-22 rifle this morning and was wondering if anyone knew how many were produced? From the sites that I've read from, they were sent to Academy Sports stores only and I've seen a post where someone said that only about 300 were manufactured. That seems low if you thinker about the stores across the country. I will say that it looks to be in excellent condition and I'm getting a steal at 350.00. As I understand it to be a low production number rifle, it will make a great paring with my unfired 15-22p. Anyone with answers about the info asked above, please respond.

I paid $459 + tax for mine brand new from Academy.

I got my OD green 15-22 at Academy as well and it was like $459 as I recall. The only problem I have with it is it's an ammo eatin' son of a gun!

Mine is the reverse of that. I have OD green Magpul hardware.
