Yesterday at a gun show I saw a little .22 LR S&W revolver. It was I believe a J-Frame. The model was a 31 or 34. The barrel was very short... maybe 2 inches. It was heavy having a steel frame. The front sight was a standard ramp type. The rear sight was the S&W micrometer sight. Finish was blue. It had box and paper work. The box was not hinged but rather the top lifted off. The box was blue with, if I remember correctly, a contrasting line across the right bottom corner when viewed from the top. I wish I had paid more attention to it at the time, but I was looking at a nickle plated 19-4 that was on the table. The little J-Frame was priced at $485 while the 19-4 was $350 OTD. The owner and I did not discuss a best price on the J-Frame. The 19-4 had a N stamped on the cylinder and was P&R. It had Pachmayer grips. Based on an admittedly poor description, does anyone have any idea what that little revolver might be? It was a pretty thing. I've not seen one before. At first I thought it was a .32 or something. It was heavier than I expected which made me look at the bore and then read the side which said .22 LR. Is the price good? As to the 19-4... I'm on the fence about it. I'm just about certain it is some sort of duty pistol. There is no box, etc. What do you all think.
I have to get out the door to finish getting things ready for church. I'll be back home hopefully not later than a little after noon. Your thoughts/suggestions will be appreciated. I have some members in the ICU, etc. and may be at the hospital this afternoon. If that is not the case, it may be that I can get by the gun show (71 miles away). Sincerely. brucev.
