Finally picked up my first .45 M&P compact and I absolutely LOVE IT!! I couldn't have picked a better firearm! Happy to be part of the M&P community.
I love my FS45. Thinking the compact will be my next purchase.

Thanks gents. I'm already in love with the firearm. It is definitely my EDC now. I'm very glad my first purchase was the .45c now I need to get some ten round mags and the 14 just to play around with at the range.

I have a M&P 45c as my CCW also. I have a M&P Bodyguard 380 that I carry at work. But when not at work it's the 45c I carry.

I also recently picked up a 45c. It's a nice soft shooter. I think the trigger pull is too heavy but I plan to shoot it for awhile before making any changes.

PadreM your .45c is awesome! I like the .380s colors. I haven't been able to shoot mine yet. Soon enough tho.

I chose the mid-sized M&P .45, best out of the box pistol I've shot, and there have been a few. Liked the first so much, I got another. Apex carry kits and 10-8 rear sights and the are über good to go.

Enjoy yours

I've got the full size 45, I put the Performance Center sear into it. My favorite gun for the range. I just picked up 200 rounds of JHP ammo, going to run a few mags tomorrow, then this becomes my nightstand gun.

I love the gun as it is, but still plan to install night sights, and while I am in there I plan on installing the APEX ultimate striker block to smooth up the grittiness in the trigger uptake.

I've toyed with the idea of getting a M&P45c for a carry gun, but I am too happy with my Kahr CM9 and Shield 40 to think about adding another gun to my carry rotation.

For decades I've carried a 1911 of some sort, both on duty and off. I've carried an Officers ACP for 20 years. Back problems started my looking for an alternative. The M&P 45c is half the weight of the Officers and I swear the recoil is the same. Now, if they only made Crimson Trace grips for it.

I was really interested in the M&P 45 since I have heard so many good things about it. But the husband's old 1911 45 holds more rounds and in competition that is really important. So I opted to shoot his 45 for the major points. I still look at the M&P 45's though. I just keep telling myself that it is silly to spend $ on something you already have.

I love this weapon! She eats anything. Every type of ammo I put thru her she ate up and spit out. I'm so happy with this purchase!

What holsters do yall recommend for this weapon? I've been looking at the 415 stoner holster for IWB.

For heavier double stack 45s I use a dual clip hybrid. The one I have uses pull the dot loops and it is not tuckable, but I find the .45 is a bit wide for tucking anyway.

Occasionally I use a single clip holster when I know I'll need to take the piece off and put it back on while I am out. This allows me to keep the gun and holster as one unit as I insert it in to my waistline keeping the trigger covered. I do find with heavier pieces, the single clip holsters tend to pivot and "walk" on my belt through the day so I need to adjust it occasionally.

The hybrid works better for all day wear for me since it distributes the weight over more of the belt and is more stable.

I found a nice bianchi holster that fit the m&p 45 c awesome. It was for a glock 21 or 22 I think but that's what il be getting when I pick up mine.

If you have the time and the $, a Milt Sparks Summer Special II or Versa Max II are great functionally and last a long time. They are my go to IWB holster choices. YMMV
