OGCA Meeting

Oh, yeah, we'll be there. The entire entourage expects to go this cycle. Also known as "Dick and his road agents."

can't make it our whitetail firearms season starts on saterday. will be back in march....

There's a chance we will be in Ohio Friday/Saturday so I may make it.

DANT; If we make it down I will probably see you Friday late afternoon / early evening.

Oh yes, we will be there, got a bunch of "loose" grips (old diamond round butts) for Keith ,he may want the "pieces & parts" out of them, hell he could make "pairs" out of them...........
you guys have a safe trip and by the way, write your letters to the board as to them "raising " the table rates after the first of the year, hell us 'retired' folks get NO raises...
They need to be "reminded" who is paying their "free rides".........;)

OK, when I bought the steamy pile of grips off DanT, I had no idea they were promised to Keith.

We followed our normal routine. Walked in the front door, turned left and walked to tables to where Dan services his customers :). There, on the table was a pile of old wood. He had a price on it, and I willingly paid. Except he said I get a discount, so I accepted his lower price, too! :D :D

Only a while later when we passed his table again did he tell us Keith wanted his grips. Guess he'll learn not to sleep in on gun show Saturday!

This show, I was ready. I came with a pile of cash and a checkbook! :) We looked over thousands of guns and none appealed to me. Pretty sad.

And while I love the big shows, I've become aware of something. There are a lot of guys who know what stuff is. And they seem to both have money and are willing to part with it. When the see a screaming deal, they're willing to go for it.

At the smaller to tiny shows you don't see it so much. A nice gun or accessory may sit and languish all day or weekend because no one knows what it is. Then you stumble onto it and wonder how that thing lasted so long, all the while pulling $$ from your pocket.

Dick, was not a problem, and no, not promised, I just usually am able to get a few of those things to keith , so he can use the "parts & pieces" , you, you actually burn all that wood in your fireplace...gotta keep warm at your age...
hey was good to see you , glad you are getting around so well ,again , at your age ( hey, I resemble that remark....!!)
yes, there are always "things" to be seen as well as found, bought up,never know, you gotta go and one has to actually LOOK and pay attention, and at times even ask, we do not put everything out ourselves.
Have a great holiday season and hope to see you all after the first of the year...hey Joanie you should have stuck around a bit longer............
