Now Diane Feinstein's bill has just passed the Senate Judiciary Committee on another 10-8 party line vote.

I don't think I can trust the Judiciary Committee to be well-reasoned and objective at this point...

Well, what did you expect? That the democrats on the committee were going to support and defend the Constitution? Really?

The only hope we have now is that there are enough democrats in the House and Senate who are concerned about re-election (not about rights and freedom, apparently) to vote against this travesty.

My question is why are there 10 Democrats and only 8 Republicans on this Senate Committee? Shouldn't there be 9 Rebublicans and 9 Democrats to be FAIR?

The Senate and the House are the first test....then the Supreme Court.......and if they are also corrupt...then its up to "We the People" as "We" are the ones that have to live or die by it. They work for "Us" and our rights are spelled out as a Republic....not a Democracy...the Bill of Rights protects the Minority even from a Majority so the Majority can not take the rights away from a Minority. The people are the Bottom line if all else fails. What scares me about the Justice system...is I have seen corruption before and they are not immune from it either. I hope they are honest men and support the Constitution and not who ever Appointed them to Office. Time will tell....but "We" are the last line of Defence and this country is strong only because our Ctiizens are Free.

My question is why are there 10 Democrats and only 8 Republicans on this Senate Committee? Shouldn't there be 9 Rebublicans and 9 Democrats to be FAIR?

People voted them in. Its not supposed to be Republicans vs Democrats. It shouldnt matter if ALL of there were one or the other they should be supporting the constitution and looking out for the good of the people... instead of being blood thirsty leeches that only push their own agenda trying to get their names on a piece of paper before living out a comfortable retirement on the tax payers dime.
