If there were signs of digging (loose soil around the hole) I'd say a racoon dug up a yellow jacket nest.

Is this hole on Oak Island?
My vote: sink hole... or someone took a tree. At about 7 o'clock the edge of the hole looks rounded like the back of a shovel handle. Unusual that they would take the dirt with them, makes me think the sinkhole theory.
