I went around and called everywhere i can around me no one has .22lr, I know everyone is in this boat as well. Even online places are sold out. Can the factories not keep up, or were they all caught off guard. How long do you think everything goes back to normal?

I just bought 525 rounds of blazer from the top of a pallet of many more boxes for just under $17, no problems here in the People's Republik of Massachusetts. I actually had a wide variety of 5 other types of .22 as well.

22 and 223 are both impossible to find in the Baton Rouge area. Lucky for me there's plenty of .40 for my new M&P Pro :)

Update Dicks has 5 bricks of 500rds for 29 dollars.

But you shouldn't support Dicks Sporting Good's as they are floating on the anti gun wave too... They stopped selling semi-automatic rifles because of the sandy hook shooting

Pure supply and demand. In part, I blame panic buying, which plays right into the hands of the anti-gunners. Scare people into believing something bad will happen and they will get unnerved and go to pieces. Instead of keeping clear heads, gun owners are trying to snap up everything off the shelf and the result is they are causing unnecessary shortages. If cooler heads prevailed, there would be plenty of supply. Of course, the greed factor is in play. Retailers and private sellers are gouging on not only ammo but mags, AR's, even .22 rifles and handguns, exploiting the situation.

I'm one of the "cool" heads and now I have no ammo to go to the range. It really does suck when i just want to go shoot my 9 40 or 22 and can't because no ammo or don't want to use the last box I do have.

Just have to hunt around on the net and be ready to order as soon as something pops up.
Like others I can find none locally* but I did manage to order 3000 rounds of .22 LR last week at two different suppliers, 1000 of SK at Midway and 2000 of CCI from Palmetto State Armory.
Both sold out shortly after I ordered.

*checked 7 WalMarts, 3 Academy Sports, 2 Dicks, 2 Palmetto State Armorys and a Sportsmans Warehouse.
Palmetto often shows stuff online and in stock that they don't have out in the stores.

Where have you been brother? Everything that goes bang is now considered "assault"! :D

Agree - I've bought golf and outdoor equipment at Dick's previously and recently sent them a letter telling them that their discontinuation of selling ARs has cost them all my future business.

In addition to bowing to political correctness in the wake of a madman's act at Newtown, Dick's actions totally screwed Troy Industries, with whom it had a contractual agreement to sell Troy-built ARs. Troy, as many of you know, builds some outstanding AR accessories, such as the back-up iron sights that I keep on my Colt carbines.

Dick's can rot for selling out law-abiding American gun owners.
