OK, let's talk batons and any leather guys, come on in...

Does anyone have experience with large the flick-open telescopic segmented wands - are the truly useful ?
Asking for a friend - who totes one when walking his dog. .
I am lucky to live in a state where carrying a expandable baton is legal after taking a class and getting a permit. I carry one (ASP Disc-loc 24") everytime I walk my two small dogs. Fits into a front pocket, is available but out of sight.

I've always wanted to find an antique TEARDROP SHAPE, BRAIDED LEATHER SAP with a Loop Strap on the narrow end.
Only ones I've seen so far were dry-rotted (see Pic). A nice one is out here somewhere. If you see one - let me know..
BTW, www.ecop.com sells some handsome semi braided Black Jacks, Reasonably.

I also preferred the PR-24. Was very effective for crowd control to back them up without having to strike. A gentle nudge to the solar plexus was all it took.
