May be a silly thing for a grown man to post/type but...
My dern cat croaked.
Been goin down hill since we move back to
the city. Came to the lake house as a stray kitten few years ago. Patched/fed him. Plumped up ok. Came down with ears mites a year later which left him a little goofy and dang near blind.
Not a cat guy but grew to like him...only two days and I miss the little goof.
My dang old dog keeps lookin for him.
Handsome dude in his prime...
Adios amigo..

I've had a few cats over the years but the one we have now is the best by far. He lays on his back in front of the fireplace with his feet straight up in the air. Where ever the wife and I go in the house is always right behind. Most social cat I have ever seen.

I would be depressed as hell when he eventually goes.

Sorry about losing your friend Howie.

Hi XFuzz,
Not silly at all. Sorry to hear you lost Mook. He sure was a handsome dude. It is always difficult to lose a good friend, especially one that you see every day. How can one not grow to love those animal friends

Thinking of ya.

Sorry for your loss. I was always a dog person and not much of a cat person till living in an apartment where the landlord prohibited both and lived next door. Figured we could sneak a cat but not a dog, so we got a cat. We found out later landlord knew just about from the get go and was just as fond of the cat as we were! Later when we got our own place we had that cat, another cat and a dog. All 3 used to walk with the kids to the bus stop everyday!

Sorry to hear the sad news. Our black & white cat, Bugger bit the dust last year. We had him 19 years. He was special and can't be replaced. We have other cats but there will never be another Bugger,

Canine or Feline, they're all special after sharing your life with them. Sorry for the loss of your pal... Losing friends is tough, no matter how many legs they have?

...me either...until we got Yodie...a wedgehead Siamese...he grew up with our Basset Hounds...and he thinks he's one too...

I will add my condolences as well. They sure know how to wrap themselves around us. I pray that he finds the Rainbow Bridge quickly.

Manly or not, my cats are cool. Booger is like a dog, he'll come when called and is very affectionate. When I go to the bathroom or take a shower he's right there, hanging out. My other 2 aren't quite as loyal as he is but they also have their own cool personalities.

So to say you miss the guy is more than understandable and I sympathize.

Critters just seem to know how to find good folks.
Cats ain't like dogs. Dogs love you and show it.

Cats honor us with their presence, but that is it's own reward.

Ol Mook brought out the good in you and the picture of him proves it.

He'll be waitin' at the bridge for you.

Our's is getting there, Vesla is 18 and we know she won't be around much longer. Sorry for Mook, he looks like he was an awfully good friend.

We had a cat who lived to be 22. She was a tiny kitten when my wife found her under a dumpster in Detroit. Of course we were sad when she died, but I always think "what a life she had!"

Sorry for the loss of yer bud- I was never a "cat guy" until Miss Kitty found a sucker.
Ms Kitty's better days

She past her prime now and I got two more house guests this past winter during a real cold spell- they saw "sucker" on my head too.... well let me rephrase that who "two more" thing- seems like one of the new cats left me a present early this A.M

Lost the Demon Kitty here a year ago after 20. She was the pal of the Rotten dogs, raised by our first dog, and cranky up 'til the day she went. It's hard.

Some other critter in need will come to yo soon. It's the balance of the world.
