Hi:
I am a fan of old movies and have wondered if there is a union/guild/organization that the actors belong to that has medical and pensions for these actors in their "Goldern Years"?

I believe the Screen Actors Guild does.

They run a retirement home for actors and actresses. Many spend their days there. Norman Fell (87th PCT, Three's Company, The Ropers) was in one until he passed away.

Yes, as the last standing knight said. I belive they even have a old peoples home somewhere. I had a close friend that did a lot of bit obscure roles. Later in his life he worked with me as a guard. Every once in awhile he would get a small royalty check when they would show some old movie or tv show he had a part in. Unlike most actors, this guy was probley the most right wing person I ever knew. He had never married and was a crankey old batchlor that lived in a trailer. He died about three years ago.
