Old and broke down

Picked this old Remington up today.
It was made prior to 1935.

maybe.........I've seen pictures of some with a Schnabel fore end and would like one.

Paul, that looks as nice as the 1946 Winchester 63 I picked up last fall. It turned out to be a great shooter (once I scrubbed the old oil out of the chamber). Fun old shooters.

I have one that breaks down and is not quite so old. It's the Remington Speedmaster Model 241. Same Browning design. I read somewhere that the SA .22 was one of John Browning's personal favorites. He certainly looks pleased with it in the picture.

I'm pleased too.
Haven't shot it yet but did function test feeding and extraction today after cleaning. I put 5 stingers in and they chambered and extracted perfectly.
I only plan on shooting standard velocity and those just happened to be the easiest to try at the time.

It does.
I had picked up another early 30's Remington from the same store end of last year.
That one was another tube fed gun a model 34.
The loading mechanism of that one is really neat to watch.

I've got one of those, it shoots very well with standard velocity ammunition.

I tried it today out in the woods before the rain came down.........just before LOL. Function was 100% positive and it's already dialed in.
She sure does clack when she chews em up and spits em out. Does yours ?
I'd also like to see some other pictures of yours..........definitely has a longer rear sight than mine.
