I'm wondering if anyone here can point me in the right direction to find any info on an old George Lawrence holster I was given recently. My uncle thinks it my grandfather had purchased it for his 1934 Colt Woodsman. I'd like to confirm that as well as try to nail down an approximate time frame that it was manufactured if possible. I understand some folks on this thread have an awful lot of info on these and other holsters. The holster is stamped on the back

Your holster is pre WW II and could very well have been ordered in the 1930’s. When it was made .22 A 4 1/2 indicated the Colt Sport Woodsman.
There is no reason to doubt your uncle but the model 27 holster was Lawrence’s flagship holster for decades so it is not possible to pin down the actual date of manufacture.
I say your family history is probably accurate.

Turnerriver is out preeminent expert on Lawrence. I do believe the earliest of Lawrence holsters (1930 or so) were made for them by Wyeth in Missouri, while the earliest made by Lawrence itself had a special strap shape (beginning 1940):
