R.I.P. Mr. Harrison

A friend of mine from here on the forum went into their shop a few years ago. From what he said it was nothing but promo items for the show.

RIP Old Man.
I drove past there, about a hundred folks were standing in line to get in.
I kept on going!

I've been in it. It's an actual pawn shop. Not very big. When you see someone walk the door to the cases, that's the extent of the shop. The camera is against the back wall, display cases on each side, the office area is up on the right as you're looking towards the exit. The inventory, like most, consisted of plenty of jewelry and coins, along with tools and knives. You can buy t shirts and such, but I think there's a separate shop across the street with most of the souvenirs . . .

RIP Mr. Harrison. I always got a kick out of his sense of humor, and the ways he expressed his opinion of Chumlee.
I'm not too surprised to hear of his passing though. The most recent episodes I've watched, he wasn't looking too healthy. I always thought he was older - I would have guessed him as closer to 87 rather than just 77.

Sorry to hear, may he Rest In Peace !
I always enjoyed him on the show, it’s not the same without him!

Sorry to hear of his passing. My condolences to the family; it is a sad loss.

I recall going into the shop in what would have been there first or second season. I didn't even know they were on TV at the time. "Boss Hoss" or the kid gave me a price on a belt buckle (silver) that I was looking at, but thought it was a bit much for what it was. My friend who was getting married and I went to the bar across the parking lot or down the walk way.

It was a nice shop and different from the others--well done in marketing and presentation. There were no shirts or TV accessories at the time and I remember just thinking no big deal.

They did well for themselves and brought interest to collecting and hobbies so I am all for it. They made a couple bucks, good for them. I enjoyed shopping in a 'clean enviornment', because the other pawn shops looked rather depressed.

Sincere condolences to the family.

From time to time, I still enjoy Pawn Stars. I noticed that the Old Man was missing from many of the latest shows. Old Man, you brought a little class to a B level show. RIP.
