Did my part stimulating the economy by buying a new Leupold 3 x 9 x 40 rimfire scope for my Marlin model 80 DL, bolt action. Bought it 50 or so years ago, so it's about time.

Have it mounted but haven't sighted it in yet, can hardly wait.

Have a blessed day,

Leon

Very nice set up! My Favorite, Marlin 22's and Leupold Scopes.

When you sight it in please give a Range Report.

Thank you for sharing your Story and the Pictures.

I got a Marlin 80 in the trade pile that I would be proud to trade you for your new scope! There is no doubt you will be able to shoot through the same hole with that rig. I think the one I have is before they grooved them for scopes. It’s a shame that today you have to spend $500 to get a 22 that shoots as well as the old $25 models from 50s.

I am a fan of older Marlins and own a few. I have a 25N model that shoots as good as any rifle I have ever owned. I am betting that model 80 you have will do the same.

Let's just say, it can shoot better than I can hold.

Have a blessed day,

Leon

In 1964 I bought a new M39 Mountie and put a Weaver K2.5 on it. Several years ago I bought a used 1959 M39 rifle and put a Leupold 3X9X40 rimfire scope on it. I really liked the Mountie and Weaver until I got the rifle and Leupold and now the rifle is what I shoot most of the time.
I think you will be happy with your new setup. Larry
