Went to the Symposium in Tulsa this year. Displayed my Registered Magnum once owned by James C. (Doc) White along with quite a bit of provenance. Doc was a Texas Ranger and an FBI Special Agent.
The response was underwhelming.
For me the highlight of the show was the display by Lynn Wilson Wood (Old Western Guns with Fancy Handles).
My first time to meet Lynn. She is the granddaughter of the renowned S&W collector John Wilson.
The display was a recreation of one by John Wilson and his good friend and fellow collector Dr. John Hall from a number of years ago.
Loved the guns once owned by John Wesley Hardin and Pancho Villa. Does not get much better than that.
Don't know much about the older guns. Think they are Model 3 Americans. Please educate me if that is not correct.
