OLDER , ORIGINAL NICKLE REVOLVERS

You graciously helped me last year with this when I was considering purchasing the gun. You had mentioned the stocks then, and I need to apologize for not following up
Yes, I see the serial number and other info in my database. Thanks for providing it.

No apology necessary. I provide info, what you do with it is your business.

And yes, the Magna stocks you want have the sharp shoulder. If you find them, you will be correct. You needn't worry about the rounded bottoms. Those didn't show up until well after the sharp shoulder type had gone out of production.

Look on eBay. They frequently show up there. Not all of them are in great shape though, so take your time.

K38 Masterpiece 1955

Recently acquired after long search. Glad 19leben rescued 1957 K38 from pawn shop. As a certified Nickelholic, if this thread keeps going very long, I may need rehab. Lovin it!!!

Beautiful. Looks just like mine, only better.
I don't consider myself a nickelholic, although they do grow on you.
I have 3 now, a 27-2 with 5" barrel and a 6" unfired 1981 Python in addition to my Combat Masterpiece, which is one of my favorite guns. I have a thing for short tapered barrel K frame guns.

Here's my only one. First year of production (shipped June 29,
1950) pre-27 with factory nickel finish and 3 1/2" bbl. The
sharp shoulder magnas are period correct, and are probably
factory replacements as there is no serial number on the
right grip. The gun looks to be a working gun due to the holster
wear marks on the gun.
