Oldfella (Pete Lara) RIP

A genuine gentle-man. Safe in the arms of God. RIP, Pete.
 
A nice 80 year old gentleman that likes guns and can operate a computer-what's not to like. Thoughts and prayers with his family.
 
It's somewhat strange how we get to "know" certain people exclusively in the cyber world, and especially on our Forum. I remember Pete from his cartoon icon, and he always impressed me as a gentleman I would love to sit down with and pick his brain for info on classic firearms. After eight decades here, hopefully Old Fella has gone to a better place, where he's shooting all the time.

I did not know the man, but am able to see here that his loss is my loss as well. My prayers to the family.
 
Pete was one of my first friends on this forum, I remember when he started his own forum and we were the first two members . We spoke on the phone and mostly through email . Im really going to miss him .

Just seeing this post now, very sad news about Oldfella. Definitely one of the good guys, and will be sorely missed around here. Condolences, and prayers, to his family and friends.
