I see that Olympic Arms makes a standard upper that fires 243 wssm. I dont know anything about OA but I like the idea, for deer hunting, of a 243 wssm. What can you all tell me about Olympic Arms, (thinking about my upcoming birthday in July)?

Its interesting,the magazines (5 round)seem expensive.
Could probably buy a good dedicated deer rifle for the same cost if what retailers are asking is close the the msrp.

OLYMPICS in rare calibers
I'm now reminded of an Olympic AR in 10mm. Saw one at a modern Military rifle shoot. The guy came in 3rd. Neat rig.

I have these two Olympic Arms .223 AR pistols and this Olympic Arms .45 rifle. All three of these guns have been trouble free. When I needed additional .45 AR mags, Olympic Arms customer service was very helpful.

Many people bash Oly Arms. Personally, I have a very old SGW AR. SGW was the precursor to Oly Arms. It has been a great shooter, and quite accurate. It has never failed to function correctly. In addition, Oly is known for good quality barrels. I would not hesitate to buy one of their uppers, based on my experience.
