66s are made to be used. They were the primo LE service revolver for years. I have 2 commemorative 66s in the wooden box. I replaced the target stocks with Sile finger groove rubber grips. Both guns are house guns. I clear their throats on occasion to maintain them as guns. Great find.

Man what a great looking 66. I bet when you opened the box you got that feeling of gun pride and an adrenaline rush.
You knocked that one out of the ball park, congratulations.
What dash number is it?
I think it is a "no dash" model 66. That's how it's listed on the box. I'm no expert so anyone can please correct me if I'm wrong.
What dash number is it?
The no dash model had a stainless rear sight.
The one he has pictured has a blued rear sight.
