66s are made to be used. They were the primo LE service revolver for years. I have 2 commemorative 66s in the wooden box. I replaced the target stocks with Sile finger groove rubber grips. Both guns are house guns. I clear their throats on occasion to maintain them as guns. Great find.

Great deal very nice! Sig what Sig 😃 you won't miss it. If you need a 1911 fix try a Colt they need your business.

Congrats on a fine example of a Model 66-2. Take it out and shoot a hole in the bullseye of a target and you will understand why they are so popular!

Here is a picture of my Modell 66 no-dash and, yes, it does get shot.

I think it is a "no dash" model 66. That's how it's listed on the box. I'm no expert so anyone can please correct me if I'm wrong.

The no dash model had a stainless rear sight.
The one he has pictured has a blued rear sight.

To my understanding, only the very early models had the SS rear sights. I've seen 66 no dash models with blue sights.

To OP: You say there is no dash # on the label. I think all the guns that came in the one piece boxes didn't have the dash #.
The earlier 2 piece boxes contained the dash #.
