Not sure what you are asking. Wiki lists the citation as Pub.L. 90-351, June 19, 1968, 82 Stat. 197, 42 U.S.C. § 3711 in terms of what it became as part of the laws of the land.

In firearms circles, it is referenced as the GCA 68 or Gun Control Act of 1968. (Though it didn't go into effect until 1/1/69.) Some portions were ameliorated in 1986.

The so called Nazi weapons law of 1938 actually made it easier, not harder to buy a gun in Germany at the time. Prior to that time, some laws of the Weimar era - meant to curb private armies like the SA - were in force. Perhaps not so reassuringly, it was easier to get a pistol and a carry permit in Germany than it is today in NYC....

But only if you were Aryan. If a Jew wanted to get gun, they probably would take him out back and beat the crap out him, if he was lucky.
