On behalf of my Mom, I humbly ask for some help, please

Make sure she takes a probiotic. The antibiotics will kill the good bacteria in her stomach. This can lead to real issues.

First off thanks for all the prayers, well wishes and even just reading my request! Thanks!

As for my mom, she's doing better! She's started feeling better yesterday and wouldn't let me cook for her!

The only thing that I've noticed and my mom said was that she was feeling a bit light headed/dizzy and been a little unsteady - a side effect. So I insisted that she use the walker instead of her walking cane - just to be safe and for the time being. She, reluctantly, agreed. I've also been staying close. The course runs through next weekend and hopefully no complications during or after! We see her primary Thursday.

She's been taking probiotics and her appetite has been normal.

Anyway, thanks to EVERYONE!

Sometimes older folks get a little confused or careless about taking meds - I mean no offense, I've gone through this within my own family, but please have somebody be with her and keep her on the dosage regimen exactly as prescribed until it is all gone. That is very important.
FWIW, I'm 76 and have taken cipro many times with no ill effects, the most commonly feared one of which is weakened tendons. At age 87, and as sick as she is, I doubt she'll be doing anything strenuous..
That said, I've prayed for her doctors' wisdom and compassion, and her full recovery. I wish you both all the best.
