Just a few quick thoughts on my 43C which I have had for around 5 or 6 years and has thousands of rounds through it. Not long after buying it, I started having a lot of light strikes, so off it went to S&W. Came back and worked for a while but I was only using CCI Stingers and after a bit I started getting light strikes on those and forget about anything else as 4 out of 8 were light strikes. I took it to an indy gunsmith who really didn"t help the problem so in desperation I sent it back to S&W. That was probably close to a year ago and the gun has worked almost flawlessly with any type of ammo since then. Close to being my favorite gun. They CAN make these guns right, I just wish they would do it when they are new.

My new 43c was fussy right out of the box. Rather than send it in I decided to swap out the mainspring. S&W would not send me one. Numrich sent me the correct one for a 43c and problem solved. Even old Federal Lightnings are reliable. I don’t carry it for my primary but I do bring it as a second weapon when less power is a good thing.

So far my M43c has been great. I had a gunsmith do a trigger job. It has been great. I shot a groundhog with it.
