On the Way to First Steel Challenge with 617

On the way to my first steel challenge match. Never done this before. Never practiced. Observed a match last month and everybody was very nice. Decided to give it a try.

We'll see what happens. I expect to win my division... because I am the only one in it. I'm the only one shooting a revolver with iron sites. Everybody else is using semi automatic pistols with optic and/or rifle with optic.

I'll go old school. Wearing the pimp grips today.

Have fun. I have been shooting Steel Challenge for a bit over a year now and I enjoy it VERY MUCH.

It was a great time. We shot 5 courses, 5 strings each. Did great the first 3 stations. Seriously. Sort of impressed myself. That did not last long. The last 2 stations were not so good. So, killed it for 60% of the time and then 40% not great.

Overall, it was an awesome time. Going to shoot again next month. Maybe look for some other matches on Practiscore.

Relatively small time investment. Relatively large round count. Heavy on the FUN quota. What's not to like? And you don't have to worry about picking up your brass shooting a .22
