One and done

For a handgun any 9mm I have handy due to lots of ammo. For a rifle, a AR or AK.

But then I would need a 22 lr also and probably a shotgun, a 357 Mag revolver and a lever action to go with that. Oh heck i don't know.:D

My handgun would be my Colt Government Model Series 70 in .45 acp plus the 500 rounds of 230gr. hardball ammo I have on hand.
My long gun would be my Ruger Mini-thirty in 7.63X39mm with 4X Leupold scope and the 1,000 rounds of ammo I have on hand.

I live on top of a hill. I'd prefer to engage troublemakers while they're at the bottom of the hill. Rem 700 SPS 308.

In a zombieland senario, I'd grab my M-18 and a couple of bricks of good .22 LR ammo. Then I'd head for the hills and go to ground... stay out of sight. There's very little that 18 would not be able to handle. Probably take my Ruger Mk. II for company.

Long gun: BAR 338 Win Mag, it's the only rifle I have.
Handgun: 1086 and pre-27 3.5 inch since I have two hips to carry them on.

I'll go along with a good .22cal handgun. Another thought is to use a semi-auto with multiable caliber slides and barrels. My SIG 226 will give me .22, 9mm & .40S&W. This might help with finding ammo if thing really went the wrong way.

I could easily carry 2000 rounds of .22 to start the search for 9mm & .40S&W.

My handgun choice would be one of my 1911s - lots of ammo and lots of time behind the trigger for me on that frame. Either my 1944 Remington Rand or my Kimber Ultra CDP II.

For a rifle, I always have my Inland M1 Carbine standing by with 3 15 round magazines loaded - 1 in the rifle and 2 in the stock pouch. I like the light recoil and the range of the carbine. Not too long but fine for what I'd need.

For me it would have to be my old 5946! Reasons: I have been spending a lot of time at the range with this one and has yet to let me down! It's eaten it's way thru close too 1500 rounds of various 9mm ammo (some of which has been +P,+P+, and NATO spec). It's DAO trigger is smooth and easy to control for precise work, plus once the weather breaks I'm gonna try some 50-100yd work with it just to see what it does.
It's all-steel construction to me means that it will come in handy for "clubbing" if neccesary. And I sold my last Glock, and don't plan on having ANY poly guns in my armory again!
And I've given it a name:"Smitty";) Dale

I hate this question. First, I doubt I'd be moving anywhere, unless it was to go gather my family up.

But, a .22lr handgun would be the easiest thing to carry and find ammo. They literally make billions of rounds a year.

I'd probably go with whatever I was carrying at the time. If I didn't feel comfortable with it for the long-term, I wouldn't carry it for the short-term.

If I had time to stop, think, and plan...maybe a .22 lr. My G20 10mm is a cross between a laser and a cannon, but ammo could be sticky. I'd probably go with a 9mm or .357. the .22 is already in the bug-out bag.

Just one doesn't work for me......:)

Definitely a .22 pistol 'cause I can carry boo-koo ammo and my Early West German Sig P-220 45 ACP as it shoots great every time--all the time. My AMD-65 would be slung on me and a pack with essentials and mags and ammo in my back and hips......enough to get by on, but not enough to create a mobility problem. Ammo for the 7.62x39 will be plentiful if the shtuff is flying about. JMO
