Round in the chamber ?

I don't always carry but when I do I carry a revolver maxed with 5. Yiogo

not I....

I am comfortable carrying a 1911 with it loaded, cocked, locked and on safe. Never have heard of one going off unintentionally.

Has any one heard of a 1911 in such condition ever going off accidentally?

Also I am comfortable with any other gun in the same way as long as the safety works as well as revolvers if they are drop safe.

But my bedroom/kitchen wall and kitchen ceiling have an intersting hole in them made by a ParaOrd Warthog that someone stupidly dropped the magazine out of, cleared the chambered round, reinserted the magazine, chambered a round, and squeezed a nice shot into the wall...my German Shepard, who was just outside the bedroom door, gives me a dirty look whenever I have a gun out of the holster now! The wife was out of the country when it happened or she would have taken a very dim view of the whole issue...

I've been safely handling firearms for over 50 years but all it takes is one split second of stupidty.
