DSC Victories can sometimes be found in very good condition as they didn't experience combat abuses. I once had an extremely nice DSC, except the Police Department that used it had vibrapenned its name in large letters on the left side of the frame. I also have a BSR that looks like it spent the war in some rear area desk drawer.

That is a beautiful Victory model. I have one that looks very
similar in condition, hardly a mark on it anywhere. Most
pristine Victory I have ever seen. Shipped to Maritime Commission, Frisco Texas in 1942.

According to my database, most likely shipped Jan 1943, in the same serial number range as U.S. Navy marked guns.
