One hit wonders

Great song but not a one hit wonder. Poco made half a dozen albums, and along with In The Heart Of The Night, Crazy Love and Call It Love both got extensive airplay. Still a great song though...
What is amazing about many of these songs I can remember a specific place and time that the song really meant something to me,
Brandy was a tough period in my life and a breakup I can remember like it was yesterday. (just on example) I still have many many of these on vinyl and or cassette tapes.
Getting a bit misty now.

Quarterflash was awesome and really under rated in my opinion. When I was stationed at Pearl Harbor, I went and saw them at the University of Hawaii Andrews amphitheater, which was this really cool amphitheater carved right out of the lava rock. It's a pretty small place and I managed to get right up front and get a great picture of Rindi Ross wailing away on that sax. This is an iphone pic of it...it's a glossy, so it didn't focus as clearly as the original. I was blown away by her saxophone skills, and to see her that close...that song sends shivers down my spine to this day! I have to rate it it in the top five concerts I've been to, just because of the ambience and atmosphere of the place...and I've been to a LOT of concerts. Their sound system was a bit of overkill for the small place and it was loud! I loved it

If I see someone really ugly I tell them that they look like someone played the drum solo from the song on their face with a pair of ugly drumsticks. Many do not get the reference.

I am going to go out on a limb here but it depends on how you define "one hit wonder". LOL Jimmy Buffet only has one #1 hit and it took Alan Jackson to make it happen. Technically Jimmy Buffet is a one hit wonder.

That's uncanny. I, too, had a monstrous crush on a girl in HS (sssh... it wasn't you know who). When she found out I was going to enlist she fluffed me off like so much dandruff. "Lonely Girl" still makes me think of her every time.
My wedding song was "At Last" so that now holds the number 1 spot on my "heart tuggers" list.
