I've been out of the motorcycle thing for 20+ years or better. Really have not paid much attention to bikes at all.

My wife began expressing a desire for a cruiser bike because she's been riding tandam with her girlfriend on some local 'Patriot Guard' rides.

I went hunting for an affordable bike..and came home with a '03 Honda Shadow 750 Spirit. A good looking bike..and fairly decent shape..however it needs tires...a new chain(sprockets are fine)..and front brake pads.

I called a couple of the nearest Honda dealers..and the parts people I talked to didn't impress me much.

I figure my best bet might be to order the parts needed and either install them myself or get a local bike guru to wrench them on.

What's a good reputable online Honda parts source??

Bike Bandit, SW Mototires, Rocky Mountain ATV, Bob's Cycle Supply are vendors I have used with satisfaction. Bob's is local to me, so I shop there a lot, but they do a lot on-line, too. SW Mototires often has the best prices on tires, and still ships free on two tires or more, I think.

j&p cycles has a metric parts Catalog they are very highly rated suppler.

One thing i have found out about buying tires online, here where I live its tough to find someone to mount them. the shops around here don't want to touch them if you didn't buy them there.
