When researching a company's reputation and their quality of work, beware!
I am learning much about the many different websites where folks can post a review. They are not always accurate and can leave out many details you need to make a good decision.
The company I work for has an excellent reputation. So good that we stopped our yellow page ad. We rely on our website but mostly it's word of mouth.
But we have had some negative reviews. Every one of them was the fault of the customer. They don't listen to what they're told and they are unreasonable. Some downright stupid.
Remember, when someone gets mad they tell everyone everywhere. If customers have great service they don't tell anyone unless asked. Heck we had one lady that became a member of every single online review website including one that you have to pay for just so she could bash us.
So when doing your research take into account the positive and negative and average them out. See if there is a negative trend. And most of these websites allow the customers to have the last say and much of what's said are either lies or simply leaving out information. And much of it is ignorance or a failure to understand because they didn't listen.
For example, a local gun shop where I worked part time had an F rating at the BBB. The BBB called and offered to upgrade their rating to A+ if the gun shop paid them to. I personally saw the check written and mailed. A few days later the rating was upgraded.

Never assume. Not all is as it seems. Don't believe everything you read.
