J just finished reading “Operation Jedburgh” by Colin Beavan and it is a good book. It is amazing that you could get volunteers to jump behind enemy lines and what they had to deal with. They had deal with both the Germans and several resistance groups who each had their own agendas which didn’t necessarily mean fighting the Germans all of the time. They did get them for the most part fighting with the Allies. It was a very brutal world they jumped into. The Jedburghs were a very brave bunch of men and played a big part in winning the war.

If you can find a copy, a good OSS book from the 1950's is, You're Stepping On My Cloak and Dagger, by Roger Hall, about his own OSS service.
