OPINION ON 9x18 AMMO please!!

My Russian Mak was raised on Norinco FMJ's without a hiccup. Pretty consistant accuracy. Can't find'em now. Silver Bear works well. Wolf ok. These pistols are designed to shoot. Most likely after a couple hundred rounds it'll digest most anything that you feed it.

9X18 AMMO

The Russian & Chinese ammo is copper washed or plated steel jacket w/lead core not steel core. For my Makarovs, CZ & P-64, I carry either 100-109 gr fmj or 120 gr hp. For the PA63 I carry Blazer 90 gr Gold Dot. You can still find these but they haven't been imported or made in a few years. Cor-Bon used to offer a hot 9x18 jhp round but no longer do. I have experienced bullet setback with Hornady jhp just by manually cycling rounds thru the pistol. This is why I don't use Hornady. That was 8 years ago maybe now it's crimped better. I have no problem finding 9x18 unlike .380. As you can tell, 9x18 Makarov is one of my favorite rounds.

Thanks again for the load data you shared with me sometime back walnutred. I'm still using this load in my CZ-82 with good results.

Out of curiosity, are you using that load with cast bullets? Just curious if you've had any leading problems with the CZ barrel. I've not had any trouble and just wondered if your experience was the same.
