Opinion on S&W Model 1000 Shotgun

I have an opportunity to purchase a like new S&W Model 1000 20 gauge shotgun. The owner wants $400. The gun looks great and comes in the original box. I don't know a lot about this particular model and would welcome opinions about the model and price. I am looking for a good shotgun for skeet shooting and fun on the range.

Thanks for the heads-up on the other post. It helped too provide some light on the S&W shotgun I am considering. The gun looks great and might be just what I need.

Buy it, good price for a 1000. I have had several and am looking for another 1000 in 12GA Skeet.
