Needing opinions on these two laser units. Specifically looking for comparision of quality, price, customer service, and reliability.

It will be used on a Sigma SW40VE. Primary CCW. I'm over 60 years old and my daylight eyes are still good enough for now to use metal sights, but a laser would be very helpful at night.

Can only consider a laser if I can depend on it at much as I depend on my firearm.

Any comments from users would be appreciated.

Have you considered Crimson Trace? They make a nice unit for
the Sigma. I have one on my SW40VE that does what its supposed
to without any problems. I found a good deal on mine on one of the
laser specialty sites. 1 Above The Rest, I think it was called.

Crimson Trace appears to be the most expensive. Is there something about it to justify the additional cost. Armalaser has a 5 year warranty. Crimson Trace only warrants 3 years.

Any one else care to offer an opinion ?

I wouldn't consider either as being dependable on a firearm. You get what you pay for. I would look at night sights plus a flashlight such as the above mentioned streamlight or surefire. If you are worried about older eyes (I'm 50 myself) get a mini red dot mounted on the slide.
