OK...anyone following my budget build of a HD/deer rifle knows I'm on a TIGHT budget. I'm trying to be frugal but not go cheap.

With that in mind, am I trying too hard to keep the cost down by even considering this sling? I know I want a decent 2 point sling and this looks good initially, but are there negatives I'm missing that make it a poor choice?

If not that one, here is another possibility:

^^^Excellent post.^^^

I chose a VCAS (with acetal hardware) and would do it the same if I had it to do over again. Made in USA, good price, great sling.

I use a Vickers as well, but for a basic inexpensive sling, hard to beat a Blackhawk Nylon sling, put a QD on the front and either loop the back or use a QD there also...

Dang! 78Staff and Chew...y'all were a tiny bit slow...just before coming back in I orderes an Ares Husky Amentum...

I went thru this a month ago, have mulitple slings for my weapons, both personal (MOE)and Military (M4). I tried out a friends VTAC 2 upgraded at the range and liked it so I got one from Amazon and havent used any other since. I cant explain why it looks basically the same as my other 2 points but it feels softer or more comfortable to me.

I have a Magpul MS3 on my dressed up Sport. It's comfy and lets me practice all the cool rifle transition drills I see on YouTube. On my simple rifle, I have a plain jane nylon blackhawk 2-point sling.

I've discovered that I like the simple 2-point sling the best.
