I did some Dukes of Hazard like stunts in my car back in high school. Occasionally, not several times a week like they did.

Anywho, when I walked into my 10 year high school reunion, several people told me they were surprised I was still alive. Hmmm . . . maybe I was 'that guy' 50 years ago.

You can tell a lot about folks from where they land on the "sympathetic" versus "superior" spectrum when misfortune befalls another...

Yes, you really can.

I spent many years trying to help parents deal with the deaths of their children. There is no grief like it, no matter if the child was an adult or how he died.

I'm feeling pretty disheartened. I'm going to sign off the forum and go do some household chores.

Me too my father was a undertaker. Talked with a lot of people at the worst times in their lives! With that said I still have a sense of humor.

Almost 60 years ago on a field trip from High School in the UK, we went around a chemical plant (Monsanto) producing aspirin. There was a fatality a few days earlier when a worker on the acid plant was missing. Someone had the idea to do a phosphorus assay on the acid tank. Sure enough, the level was commensurate with one 150 lb man's body dissolving. Made an impression on the "kids".

Could not do this in this case, but having removed flesh from cadaver limbs by similar techniques, it is feasible. Dave_n
