I have over a gross of handgun magazines and about half that many holsters. I placed the magazines in Ziploc freezer bags, grouped together by make and model and wrote that info on each bag with a Sharpie marker. I attached ID labels to each holster using Zip ties. I used not to worry about such things but I have been thinking like this the last few years. My son could eventually figure out what mag went with what gun but the holsters were another matter. I had about a dozen different kinds that I had to look up on manufacturers websites. I ran out of tags and still have about fifteen to go.

This was time well spent.

I use several of these units with the removable bins for mag storage. A label maker make sit easy to identify them.

As far as holster organization...I had entirely too many holsters that I purchased over the years that ended up not being my favorite and I ended up taking all that I never use and brought them to the gun show and sold them for $10 each. I know it was a lot less than I paid for them but they only sat in a drawer and not used. I always put a paper tag with a rubber band on them for identification.MAG STORAGE.JPG

Nice organization fellas - welcome to my world of OCD! 😁 I've recently sold about half my holster collection because I didn't use them any more. The ones I've kept are still enough to fill a very large dresser drawer - lol. My belief is if you need a label to tell you what gun it's for - it never gets used - ha ha. I have kept a few just for nostalgia even though I never use them any longer - they were my Dad's and I just don't have the heart to sell or give them away.
