Original list prices

I have looked all over and have not been able to find the original prices that S&W pistols sold for in the 60's-80's. Does anyone know of a link or source online?

I have original catalogs going back years. If you have a few specifics I'd be glad to look them up for you. The one caveat is that prices changed from year to year usually increasing so I guess giving you the earliest year found would be the way to go.
The other really good sources of price info are the "Stoegers" catalogs, Since Stoeger sold direct until stopped by government regulations, their catalogs often show picture, price & specifications. Usually go quite reasonably at flea markets & gun shows. The S&W catalogs are often much more costly.....but take up a lot less room.

go back to the old issues of gun digest, or you can also look at gundigest magazine on line - they have viewing of the old issues

Don't know the exact prices but I can remember when I was a kid drooling over several pages of the full color Western Auto catalog. Seems like most S&Ws were in the $65 to $90 range. This was in the mid 60s.
