Original?

I do not recall anything other than 'smooth' Triggers from that era of S & W 'M&P's.

Silly me. I just assumed they were always grooved. Learn sumptin' new everyday.

Thanks.

Provoked to check mine too. All are smooth. Wonder though, could one have special ordered a grooved (target) trigger from the factory back then?

Cheers;

I was ready to jump all over that comment, but after finding smooth triggers on the first five (.38) M&P's of that era I decided to stop counting instead. It would appear there are those who pay close attention, and some others who don't----more's the pity!!

I surrender!!

By the 600,000 serial numbers, and perhaps earlier, all my .38 M&P targets have
grooved triggers. I'll look at the early catalogs, and see if they say anything about
that.

Smooth triggers were common well in the the late 1920s. My 1926 .44 Special, #28363, has one. It shipped in January 1927. My 1926 .44, SN 37585, that shipped in March 1931, has a grooved trigger.
