For the life of me I just cannot understand why our Government does not help or support out fighting troops who come home with a leg or two or arm or two blown off. These guys and gals are keeping us free in all aspects.of our lives. The government spends billions on art work and what not but not a cent on the most braves troops in this country. A Presidental champagne goes around 100 million these days. Give a Buck or two to our wounded vets. I know there are private fund raisers and all but it is our Government that sent these guys and gals into battle. I for one would not give a coons *** if out taxes went up a tab to help them out. Think about it! I'm damn sure glad my card in the army shipped me to Germany instead of Nam! Damn glad. Lots of my buddies were not so lucky. I love our military. My son is a Major in the Army, served in Iraq.
God bless our military! 10-4 Over and out.

Tell your son Thanks for his service.

I donate monthly to the Wounded Warriors Project, which helps our injured service folks to deal with life after war. I urge everyone to think about offering a donation.

Mickey, I've never donated to anything for the vets but will now. Still, our gov should cowboy up and help the wounded. It's not a hand out, it's a thank you bonus.

I as well Mickey, give what I can.Everyone needs to look into the Wounded Warrior Project. They do what the stinking government won't do. A great thing to give to.

I couldn't have said it better JOERM. I do give to several organizations and will continue.
It is a shame that with all the government waste and freebe programs they really dropped the ball on helping our vets.
That's another reason why I find it hard to ever vote for a leader who has not served in the Military.

My wife and I made a rather substantial donation to The Wounded Warrior Project recently. We feel blessed with what we have and wanted to share it these American Heroes. I spent six years working around the military in Iraq and Afghanistan and greatly respect what these men and women do for us.

I'm a member of the Garand Collector's Assn. Each year we give several thousand dollars to "M1s For Vets." They bring wounded veterans to Camp Perry, give them a rifle and let them complete. I presented rifles to several vets two years ago. It was an incredible experience. These are men who have expressed an interest in shooting. Of course, some probably never want to see a firearm again and there are plenty of alternatives to support them.

IT'S BECAUSE IT COST $$$$$$$$...IT'S OK TO SEND THEM INTO HARMS WAY, COST BE DAMMED BUT THEY DON'T WANT TO PAY FOR THE COST OF THE WOUNDED!!! IN THE BEAN COUNTERS EYES, IT'S CHEAPER FOR THEM TO BE KIA!
I have supported the Wounder Warrior Project for years and will continue to do so.

Awesome, Mickey D!
Wounded Warrior Project is an outstanding organization that helps in big ways! Even if folks just buy a T-shirt, it helps the WWP to help our soldiers and spreads the word at the same time.

I signed up for the auto-bank account deduction. Easiest way for me to give back to those injured.
JOERM, you are absolutely correct that the gov't (again, you and I) should provide better programs to aid returning injured vets. If the gov't can spend money on the worthless in this country, a little more to those that served would be awesome.
I have to say though, I like the idea of personal giving by those that can and want to help, than to have my tax money spent on those areas I don't approve of. But I can't control the latter.
