The revolver look's like a 1860 Army or a copy with what look's like a cartridge conversion.
I'm not sure there were any conversion's done at the time of the war between the state's.![]()
That's interesting, although I question how many cowboys would use their pistol butts to pound fence post staples.I believe that most of the "conversions" were not percussion revolvers rebuilt as cartridge firearms but rather were assembled new as cartridge guns by Colt from left over parts and newly made parts to accommodate cartridges.
