So does anyone out there replace there safety lever with either the DPMS oversized safety (see pic ). I am looking for a bit larger safety on my Sport rifle. I am wondering which one to go with.

I have a new one laying around in my parts drawer after comparing it to the stock lever it did not look like a worthwhile improvement

Well that Battle Arms Development looks nice but I cannot see almost $80.00 dollars for a safety selector. Really What is it made of gold. I just want a simple larger safety selector, so for $12.95 I went with the DPMS and if I don't like it well I can send it back. Thanks for all the replies

Never had an issue with the standard unit. Gloves, cold weather, hot weather, slimy, muddy- not an issue making the selector work.....

Other than that part where the friggin' thing won't go backwards 180 degrees to help me empty the magazines easier.:p

I went the other way, changing to shorter levers and a 45* throw, from Battle Arms Development.

Battle Arms Development, Inc.

And in the ad shown- they actually point to the selector switch and tell you how it's made slimmer to reduce weight........ HOLY COW.

No, not the entire .65oz assembly. Just the selector switch part itself. And thank God they did; the rifle was just too darn heavy with the stock selector switch. I feel if I were equipped with that, I'd be on my way as the first guy to conquer Everest with an AR slung over my shoulder.:D

I ROLF....... I sorry......:o
