I have read nearly every Shield IWB thread here, and I am happy with my PJ Holster IWB Tuckable that I got a few months ago. It is the version with the J-hook that is held down by the belt when drawing (holster itself fits over waistband of pants).

For the cool months, I would like an OWB holster that is mostly for weekend use where I will slap on a 1.5 inch "instructor's belt" and wear that over a pair of warmups. The belt must go through holes/loops as that is all that will hold the OWB in place.

I don't really mind Kydex worn IWB against my body, and since this is to be OWB I am leaning towards Kydex again. I'd like something under $50.

If anyone has a suggestion, I'd appreciate it.

PJ OWB....its what I use, works well, reasonable price...downside is long wait. Or Remora holster may work for you...I have couple of them and they work well in certain circumstances too.

Buy yourself a Lobo holster and you'll appreciate it. Ray is a member here and makes beautiful custom holsters in your price range!

I also like my Blackhawk Compact Askins holster for my 642, but that's the only one I like besides my Lobo's. :p

I'm a giant fan of X-Concealment holsters. Great quality and no absurd waiting period. Great price also.

Oh!! Pictures !!!

Here's a close up of one of my Lobo Holsters... I think this one took a little over three weeks to get and cost me around $50. It is a beautiful work of art and I love to wear it!

I, too, have an X concealment I picked up "used" for $50. New, they're a little more.

The best OWB kydex I have owned has been JM Custom kydex. Better than Raven, though, it's about the same cost. Wait time is only five weeks.
