I'm sending in my M&P for some triger work soon, but before I do I'd like to get a decent OWB holster for my 66 while it's away. I have a cheap-*** Uncle Mikes for it right now, but it sort of sucks because it rides with the grip tilted so far out that it bumps my arm constantly.

Any suggestions for a great holster that I won't have to wait 18 months to obtain?

The Kramer I have rides good on my right hip. It's black cowhide and has the "FBI" forward cant. There's others on here that can build you something similar though. It took about a month to get mine.

I love the Don Hume on the belt holsters, particularly for the price. The website has a search feature so you can input your gun and look at all the models they have available. CRS prevents me from remembering the one I carry most, and laziness prevents me from taking off my belt to look at the one I have on now!

I love my Bianchi model 5 black widow. You can order one from www.packinheatleather.com and it will be shipped to your house with 5 days from date purchased and through the web site the holster you see in my pic was only $44.00 + 5.00 shipping.

Don Hume

I'd go with the Don Hume too. If they have them in stock it will take you about a week to get it. Great quality for the price.

I strongly recommend the Simply Rugged Sour Dough pancake holster. I have one for my 4" M10 and it is a great holster with lots of versatility. IIRC I had my holster in my hands with in three weeks of placing my order. One other plus is the price line for all of his products is very reasonable for the great quality you get.

Check Ebay. There's a seller there called UsaMike who has lots of old Safety Speed holsters that are essentially new. He bought out the remaining stock of them. These are great holsters and he's had lots of revolver ones for sale.

As you know, I am sold on Kramer products. Jframe feak and I agree, you cannot go wrong with a Kramer, I own 7 of them.

Bianchi is probably going to be the quickest to get and a great holster also. Simply Rugged, to me, is without equal for carrying high, tight and secure. When my Sourdough Pancake arrived I gave up the 2 1/2" gun and went for the 4" 66. That holster really does hide your gun. Price is right and delivery usually about 4 to 6 weeks; worth the tarrif and the wait.

Sure. Mitch Rosen, 5JR-PRES-FD: http://www.mitchrosen.com/product_line/product_line.html Runs $145 and maybe two months to receive, but it is a great holster. I own one for an M65, and two others for 1911s. Get a belt from him, too.

Hi:
Fobus Paddle Holster.
I wear mine with the Paddle part over My belt instead IWB.
Inexpensive (cheap), negatine upkeep, lasts forever, locks the weapon in without a safety strap.
Can be worn strong side or crossdraw.

I have both a RH and LH The Slide in Brown that looks like this one but not quite a fancy. Take a look at my site.

Headknocker you missed me ;)
